Terms of Service

Welcome to Coleta! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Coleta mobile application and services. By using Coleta, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Coleta, you confirm that:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements
- You will comply with all applicable laws
- All information you provide is accurate and truthful
2. Description of Service
Coleta is a platform that connects:
- Senders - People who need to send packages
- Couriers - People who can deliver packages along their routes
Important: Coleta is a marketplace platform. We do not employ couriers or guarantee delivery. We facilitate connections between independent users.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Registration
To use Coleta, you must:
- Create an account using Google, Apple, or phone number
- Provide accurate personal information
- Verify your phone number via SMS
- Accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy
3.2 Courier Requirements
To become a courier, you must also:
- Verify your vehicle registration number
- Provide vehicle type and brand information
- Accept the Courier Terms and Disclaimer
- Maintain a valid driver's license
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account
- All activities under your account
- Notifying us of any unauthorized access
4. Platform Rules
4.1 Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Illegal substances or drugs
- Weapons, ammunition, or explosives
- Hazardous materials
- Stolen goods
- Live animals (without proper permits)
- Counterfeit products
- Items prohibited by law in origin or destination country
4.2 User Conduct
You agree NOT to:
- Provide false information
- Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
- Circumvent the platform for direct transactions
- Use the service for illegal purposes
- Manipulate ratings or reviews
- Create multiple accounts
5. Deliveries and Transactions
5.1 Package Posting
When posting a package, senders must:
- Provide accurate package details (content, size, weight)
- Specify pickup and delivery locations
- Declare any special handling requirements
- Be available at pickup location
5.2 Offer and Acceptance
- Couriers submit price offers for packages
- Senders can accept, reject, or negotiate offers
- Once accepted, both parties are committed to the delivery
- Cancellation policies apply (see Section 7)
5.3 Delivery Process
- Courier travels to pickup location
- Package is picked up and verified
- Real-time tracking is available
- Package is delivered to destination
- Recipient confirms delivery
6. Payments and Fees
6.1 Pricing
Prices are determined through negotiation between senders and couriers. Coleta does not set prices.
6.2 Platform Commission

6.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Coleta does not store payment card information.
6.4 Courier Payouts
Couriers receive payment after successful delivery confirmation, minus the platform commission.
7. Cancellations and Refunds
7.1 Before Pickup
- Senders can cancel without penalty before pickup
- Couriers can cancel but may receive negative rating
7.2 After Pickup
- Cancellation requires agreement from both parties
- Partial refunds may apply based on distance traveled
7.3 Disputes
In case of disputes, contact support@coleta-app.com. We will mediate and make final decisions.
8. Liability and Insurance
8.1 Limitation of Liability
Coleta is a platform connecting independent users. We are NOT liable for:
- Loss or damage to packages
- Delivery delays
- Actions of couriers or senders
- Accidents during delivery
8.2 User Responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Verifying package contents and condition
- Obtaining appropriate insurance if needed
- Complying with local transportation laws
8.3 Insurance Recommendation
We strongly recommend that senders insure valuable packages through third-party providers.
9. Intellectual Property
Coleta and all related trademarks, logos, and content are owned by us. You may not:
- Copy or modify the app
- Use our branding without permission
- Reverse engineer the application
10. Account Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent activity
- Multiple user complaints
- Legal requirements
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be notified via the app.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the country where the service is primarily used.
13. Dispute Resolution
Disputes will be resolved through:
- Direct negotiation
- Mediation through Coleta support
- Arbitration or courts as a last resort
